Aintree Group is seeking a versatile and skilled Accounts Controller / Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a multi-disciplined professional who can manage various levels of financial and administrative tasks within their design and construction-based business. This role report directly into the Director and is based in office in Takanini, Auckland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate our Xero accounting system efficiently
- Collate, code, and arrange payments
- Manage GST payments and liaise with our accountant for tax payments
- Back-cost construction projects to ensure accurate client billing
- Monitor and understand work in progress and project forecasting
- Assist in improving financial and operational systems
- Ensure rent payments and outgoings are correctly processed and paid on time
- Oversee construction contract administration and payment claims
- Collect and collate warranty agreements from subcontractors upon contract completion
- Assist with CCC paperwork and compliance documentation
What you need to be successful
- Proven experience in Accounts or Financial Management, Bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of construction costing (advantageous).
- Strong proficiency in Xero and Excel.
- Strong financial process understanding and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a proactive team player.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insightful financial reports and identify process improvements.
