Identimark is a family-owned leader in safety identification solutions, with over 30 years' experience supporting critical industries such as energy, construction, and manufacturing across Australia and New Zealand. As they expand their reach in the Energy sector, they're on the hunt for a proactive, solution-driven Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager) to help fuel the next phase of growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is pivotal to their long-term growth strategy in the Energy sector and beyond. You'll be a consultative seller—focused on long-term partnerships, not quick wins. This is a dual-focus role: most of your time will be spent growing existing accounts, and part on breaking into new markets including renewables, defence, mining and rail.
You'll be based in Blenheim or work remotely from Christchurch, Palmerston North, or Auckland—with travel required to Blenheim and across the country (3–4 days per fortnight).
What You'll Do
Client Growth & Relationship Building
- Manage and grow key client accounts across NZ
- Conduct regular F2F and online meetings
- Deliver tailored solutions through a deep understanding of client needs
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new leads and referral opportunities
- Focus on growth in emerging sectors like Renewables, Mining and Defence
Sales Process & CRM Management
- Use HubSpot CRM to manage pipeline, leads, and client engagement
- Prepare and follow up on quotes with support from the head office team
Industry Engagement
- Attend and exhibit at industry trade shows
- Network actively via LinkedIn, events, and strategic outreach
What We're Looking For
Skills & Experience
- Proven B2B sales and/or key account management experience
- Background in Energy, Safety, Manufacturing or Construction industries (preferred)
- Strong CRM experience (HubSpot ideal)
- Solid understanding of long sales cycles and solution selling
- Confident communicator—F2F, phone, and online
- Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented
