This role is based in Moss Vale NSW.
The Role
The Finance Manager plays a key role in overseeing the financial operations of Dunsteel, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and strong financial governance across the business. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on role combines day-to-day financial management with strategic support. The Finance Manager will be responsible for budgeting, cash flow forecasting, compliance, and supporting the leadership team with clear, data-driven insights to guide business decisions
Key responsibilities include:

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, financial models, and strategic financial reports for executives and stakeholders.

Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, treasury operations, and working capital optimisation.

Oversee accounting processes, general ledger integrity, and preparation of accurate financial statements in compliance with standards and regulations.

Coordinate month-end and year-end close, board-level reporting, and statutory compliance.

Manage tax obligations (BAS, GST, PAYG) and liaise with auditors, ensuring compliance and implementing effective tax strategies.

Analyse costs, margins, and profitability to identify savings opportunities and support procurement and vendor negotiations.

Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, policies, and accounting systems for efficiency and transparency.

Lead and develop the finance team, overseeing AP/AR/payroll, mentoring staff, and aligning finance with business objectives.
What we are looking for:

Proven experience in a senior finance role with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Strong track record in financial reporting, compliance, and driving process improvements.

Demonstrated leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, plus proficiency with accounting systems.

Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
