The Role
A great opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager to join team at Earthlight. This role is responsible for overseeing EarthLight's Production/Warehouse operations, as well as managing activities such as Purchasing and Site Servicing. You will ensure efficient workflows, strong team performance, and high-quality output across all operational areas. Additionally, you will play a critical role in streamlining manufacturing processes, improving supply chain efficiency, and ensuring the effective execution of service operations.
You will manage a team of 10, with the potential for the team to grow and double in size as the business expands.
This role is ideal for someone who takes a hands-on approach and possesses strong leadership and management skills.
Based in Forrestdale, WA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage Production, Purchasing, and Service teams, setting KPIs and driving performance improvement.
- Oversee manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and DIFOT targets are met.
- Implement and improve SOPs and lean processes to enhance consistency and productivity across departments.
- Manage procurement, supplier relationships, stock forecasting, and purchasing cost control.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to operational and quality standards.
- Coordinate and support field service operations, maintaining high standards of service delivery and technician efficiency.
- Drive team training, development, and accountability across all operational areas.
What we are looking for:
- Proven leader with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (warehouse, production, procurement, and field service), encouraging collaboration, motivation, and a high-performance culture.
- Significant background in operations, production, or service management within industrial, manufacturing, or technical sectors.
- Strong track record of scaling operations, improving processes, and driving efficiency through continuous improvement and sound decision-making.
- Demonstrates accountability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to achieving results and ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Skilled in managing field service teams and successfully delivering projects in dynamic environments.
- Deep understanding of safety, compliance, and risk management, with proficiency in production scheduling and inventory systems.
