With a national footprint and growing presence across New Zealand, they're now seeking a General Manager to lead their dedicated team, drive strategic growth, and ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional infrastructure outcomes.

The Role

As General Manager, you'll oversee all operational, strategic, and commercial aspects of the business. Your leadership will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and above expectations – with a relentless focus on team building, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

You'll play a crucial part in shaping the company's future, building on its strong foundation of operational excellence and trusted client relationships.

You will be responsible for:

Project Delivery

• Lead planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Oversee quality assurance, including ITPs and engineering inspections
• Ensure full project handover to Reliant standards

Health & Safety

• Champion a culture of safety-first
• Conduct regular inspections and audits
• Ensure all site teams are trained and compliant

Quality Assurance

• Attend key inspections and ensure best-practice implementation
• Deliver exceptional outcomes with zero compromise on quality

Commercial & Financial

• Maximise profitability through variation management and cost control
• Oversee subcontractor contracts and payment evaluations
• Collaborate with Finance on claims, budgets, and invoice queries

Strategic Growth

• Identify new opportunities, expanding market presence across New Zealand.

What We're Looking For

We're after a results-driven leader with a strong technical background, ideally in infrastructure, construction, or industrial projects. You'll have:

• Proven senior leadership experience in a similar environment
• Deep knowledge of project delivery, safety, compliance, and quality assurance
• Financial acumen and contract management experience
• Excellent people management and client relationship skills
• The ability to travel across NZ as required
