Reliant Solutions is a specialist bolted steel tank construction company delivering end-to-end turnkey solutions across rural, commercial, and industrial sectors. As a leader in design and installation, they provide world-class storage solutions with precision, integrity, and reliability.
With continued growth across New Zealand, they are seeking a driven and technically capable Technical Sales Representative to strengthen their market presence.
This role is ideally to be based out of Invercargill, but we are also open to interest from Auckland and Christchurch.
The Opportunity
This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling. You will manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting through to close — delivering tailored infrastructure solutions that meet client requirements and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities
- Manage and log the full technical sales cycle
- Interpret client technical requirements and recommend solutions
- Deliver presentations, tenders, and proposals (RFQs/RFPs)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to tailor solutions
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and repeat business
- CRM management and pipeline tracking will be key to your success.
About You
- Proven experience in technical or consultative sales.
- Exposure to engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors (desirable)
- Strong work ethic with a results-oriented mindset
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capability
- Solution-focused critical thinker
- Ability and genuine interest in learning technical products, with the capability to confidently communicate in-depth product knowledge
- Skilled in managing long and complex sales cycles
- Strong customer relationship management and retention focus
- High integrity and professional accountability
