We're now looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Account Manager to help grow our presence across the Lower South Island.
About the Opportunity
As a Sales Account Manager, you'll work closely with rural customers, build long-term partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and help proactively expand our presence across Southland and Otago.
You'll manage a portfolio of existing clients while also driving new business growth through proactive networking, customer engagement, and solution-based selling. The role suits someone who enjoys remote working and being on the road, understands rural communities, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.
Our ideal candidate would be based in Southland or surrounds with regular travel to our head office in Feilding (Manawatū District).
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Managing key accounts and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Providing product recommendations, demonstrations, and support
- Delivering customer training and technical advice (full training provided)
- Travelling throughout rural regions to meet with customers
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing order entry
- Working towards individual sales targets and KPIs
- Contributing positively to a collaborative and high-performing team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in sales and/or account management
- Agricultural industry knowledge or machinery experience is advantageous
- A solution-oriented Sales approach and practical mindset
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence working both over the phone and face-to-face
- Ability to understand technical products and customer needs
- A current NZ Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly
