About the opportunity
Southland filtration is seeking a Proposal & Estimating Manager to take ownership and coordinate their bid and proposal processes in support of their frontline Sales team. This role sits at the heart of how they win business and deliver technical excellence to their clients.
This is a hybrid role, to be based in Morningside, QLD or Prestons, NSW.
What You'll Do
- Lead proposal development from concept through to submission.
- Approve solution designs to ensure compliance with client and company standards.
- Manage solution costing and resource allocation for process engineers and estimators.
- Collaborate and coordinate internal teams and external suppliers.
- Take ownership, review and approve tender and contract documentation.
- Support Sales team with bid support preparations and presentations for closing deals.
- Drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews.
- Report to Head of Sales with insights, forecasting and lead time updates.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in proposal preparation, estimating, or project delivery.
- Knowledge of water treatment design and operations (desirable).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Financial and project management proficiency.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Driven by results and committed to continuous improvement
