The Role
A great opportunity has become available for a driven Business Development Manager to join the team. As Business Development Manager, you'll drive sales of Southland Filtration's water filtration solutions and service contracts across NSW. You'll focus on winning new business with end users in healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sectors, while also expanding their market presence through wholesalers and resellers. This role blends direct sales, account management, and channel development, giving you the chance to make a real impact on business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and secure new business with facility owners and operators across healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial sector
- Promote and sell water filtration solutions and service contracts, including technical consultations and site assessments
- Build and manage relationships with contractors, supporting procurement, project guidance, and technical advice
- Develop partnerships with wholesalers, distributors, and resellers, providing training and sales support to drive growth
- Plan and execute a state-wide sales strategy, maintaining a strong pipeline and monitoring market trend
What we are looking for:
- 3–5+ years of proven success in B2B sales, water treatment, plumbing, or industrial filtration
- Experience selling to both end users and through contractor or channel-based models
- Strong understanding of water filtration technology, or plumbing system integration
- Familiarity with key sector standards and requirements
- Existing relationships with plumbing contractors, wholesalers, or facility managers in key sectors
- Experience supporting specification sales in construction and design projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Values-driven, energetic, and motivated to achieve results
- Comfortable managing a state-wide territory, with regular travel to customer and project sites
- Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office
